Assigning an official OEM service plan to your assets ensures that your assets follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule. This is especially useful for:
Following official OEM service intervals
Standardizing service across your fleet
Acting as a service provider (e.g. dealer performing work)
You can assign an official OEM service plan to a single asset or you can bulk assign to multiple assets at once.
In order for you to assign official OEM service plans to your assets, the OEM must first have created and published the plans
You must be the owner of the asset in order to assign it to official OEM service plans.
Assign an Official OEM Service Plan to a single asset
Use this method when you want to configure a single asset.
From the navigation bar, go to the Assets page.
Find and click on the asset you want to assign the service plan to.
From Asset home, click the Service tab.
In the Service Plans section, you will see the official OEM plan if the OEM has published one.
Click Assign next to the plan.
6. Confirm by clicking Assign in the pop-up window.
Note: By clicking Assign, you become the service plan provider for that asset.
Assign an Official OEM Service Plan in bulk
Use this method to assign OEM service plans to multiple assets at once.
From the navigation bar, go to the Service Management app.
Click on the Assignments tab.
Select one or more assets from the list.
Click Assign official OEM plans in the action bar at the bottom of the screen.
5. If you or your company will carry out the service (for example, if you are a dealer performing warranty service), tick the box for Assign me as provider.
If the service will be performed by someone else, leave the checkbox unchecked.
What Happens After Assignment?
After assigning an official OEM service plan:
The official OEM service plan becomes active on the asset
The asset status updates to reflect that it is fully configured
Upcoming services appear in the asset’s Service tab
Service intervals follow the OEM’s official maintenance recommendations
You can book, complete, and track services directly in Trackunit Manager
I don't see an official OEM service plan for my asset?
If you do not see an official OEM service plan, it may not yet be available for that specific asset model. Contact your OEM representative or Trackunit support for assistance.
