Configure your assets at scale to start performing services efficiently. Assigning a service provider enables users on the account with the right user role to resolve services on the asset.
Service Management is available on the Evolve and Expand pricing plans. Reach out to your Sales Representative for more information.
You need to be an Admin or Fleet Admin to assign service plans. Read more about user roles here
Accounts in your service network are able to assign themselves as services providers to assets they have visibility to. See how to create a service network here
Assign a Service Plan to an asset
Service plan assignment supports both new and retrofitted assets by allowing you to set a custom start date for each individual asset's service plan.
You can choose a start date in the past or the future. If you backdate* the start date, the system displays the asset's hours and/or distance as of that date, which you can adjust if needed to ensure accuracy. This ensures that service triggers align correctly.
*Backdating: For example, if today is January 9, 2025, but the asset started being used on January 1, 2025, you might "backdate" the service plan to reflect that earlier start date. This allows the system to account for any usage (e.g., hours or distance) that occurred during that time.

Click on the Service Management app
Click on Assignments
Select the asset(s) for which you would like to assign a service plan. You can use the filter parameters to narrow down your list of assets.
Note: Asset selection for assignment is limited to 200 assets at a time.
Click on Assign Plan in the blue bar at the bottom of the screen
Select a service plan from the dropdown list.
Optional: You can assign yourself as a service provider by checking the box "Assign myself as the provider for the selected plan".
Note: If one of the assets selected already have the selected plan assigned, it will be removed from the assignment flow. You will need to unassign the plan from the asset first and assign it again if you need to change the start date.
Click Next
Set the start date for each of the assets. If the date is in the past, the hours and/or distance will load for the date selected. This may take a few extra seconds.
Optional: You can bulk assign the start date by clicking the “Bulk assign date to assets” → select all or some of the assets from the list → select the date.
Optional: You can modify the hours and/or distance of the asset if the values are not correct.
Click Next
Review the changes you have made and click Finish
Your selected asset(s) now have the service plan assigned to them.
Note: A service plan is activated when it is assigned to the asset, however, it is not actionable until it is fully configured, which means that it also has a service provider assigned to it.
Assign a service provider to an asset that has a service plan
A service provider is required to complete the service configuration of your assets and you can support your organization by assigning the relevant accounts as providers.
An account must have visibility to the asset before it can be assigned as a service provider.
