Official OEM service plans are published by OEMs and made available for the asset owner. They ensure assets receive recommended servicing, regardless of warranty.
Once an official OEM service plan is published, asset owners will be able to assign the service plan to assets that correspond to the specified brand and model of the service plan.
In this article, you can learn how to publish an existing official OEM service plan as an OEM. If you have not created the service plan yet, make sure to do so before you can publish it.
To learn how to assign official OEM service plans to assets as the asset owner, click here
Publish an official OEM service plan
Click on the Service Management app
Click on the Plans tab
Click on the three dots next to the plan you want to publish
Click Publish
Select the Brand from the dropdown menu
The Model dropdown will populate based on the Brand selected
Click Publish
💡 Tip: You can always edit the publication once published if there is a need to add/remove brands or models to the service plan.
Note: A model can only be assigned to one official OEM service plan.
Unpublish an official OEM service plan
You can unpublish an official OEM service plan if it is no longer valid or should no longer be recommended to asset owners.
When unpublished, the service plan can no longer be assigned to new assets (unless it is part of your service network).
If the service plan is already assigned to assets, it will remain active on those assets. However, if it is unassigned, it cannot be reassigned. The service plan will also be labeled as Unsupported.
Click on the Service Management app
Click on the Plans tab
Click on the three dots next to the service plan you want to unpublish
Click on Edit publication
Click on Delete
Note: Deleting a publication does not delete the service plan nor does it remove it from your service network.
