Hiding an asset in Trackunit Manager is useful if you have assets used only in specific seasons (for example, snowplows) or for private purposes (for example., vans) that you don’t want mixed with the rest of your fleet.
What happens when you hide an asset?
The asset will not appear on the map or in the asset list.
The asset will not be included in reports.
The asset will not trigger alerts.
Note: Hidden assets are still billed to your account.

Important considerations before hiding an asset
When hiding an asset, it will be hidden from several places across Trackunit’s platform but still visible in some other places including:
Scheduled Reports
Hidden assets remain in Scheduled Reports unless you manually remove them by editing the report.
Billing Overview
Hiding an asset does not cancel its subscription. To cancel, contact the Revenue and Billing team via the Messenger in the lower-left corner.
How to hide an asset in Trackunit Manager
Log in to your Trackunit Manager account.
Click on the Asset you want to hide.
From Asset home, click on Hide in the top-right corner.
A notification will appear to confirm your decision to hide the asset. Familiarize yourself with the impact of hiding the asset, and click Hide asset.
💡 Tip: To unhide an asset, click Unhide in the top-right corner.
How do I find my hidden assets?
To see the assets you have marked as hidden, go to the Map or Asset app
Click on Filters
Select the Hidden assets filter
Set the filter to Show
A “Hidden” label appears after the asset name on the list to indicate that the assets is hidden.
