Service Notification is available on the Evolve, Expand, Lift & Leap pricing plans. Reach out to your Sales Representative for more information.
Create a new service notification
Before you begin, it is recommended that you assign a service plan to the assets you want to set up a service notification for, otherwise no emails will be sent.
Note: If a service is already in an overdue or upcoming state before the service notification is set up, it will not retroactively trigger an email for that service state.
Log into Trackunit Manager
Click on the Service Management app.
Click on the Notifications tab.
Click on Create notification button.
Enter a name for your notification and click Next.
Select the notification type and click Next.
Select the condition to trigger the email (Upcoming or Overdue).
Note: If the service plan does not have a warning period set, then the Upcoming condition will never trigger an email.
Select the assets for the service notification and click Next. You can select your assets by filter parameters or for specific groups.
Note: If you are setting up a service notification for a group of assets, any new assets added to the group will also automatically get added to the service notification.
Select the subscribers who should receive the email and click Next. You have the option to select Users or Contacts. Users are those that have access to your Manager account and Contacts are the list of users from your Customer list. Learn how to create and manage Customers here
