How do I resolve services on an asset in Trackunit Manager and Trackunit Go?

Resolve upcoming and overdue asset services when they have been completed.

Updated yesterday

When an asset reaches a scheduled maintenance trigger — based on time, usage, or calendar intervals — it becomes due for service in Trackunit Service Management.

You should resolve a service once the planned maintenance has been completed (or intentionally skipped). Resolving the service updates the asset’s service history and, for recurring services, sets the next service interval.

Keeping services resolved and up to date ensures accurate maintenance records, supports reliable scheduling, and helps prevent overdue work that can impact uptime.

You need to have one of the following user roles in Trackunit Manager to resolve services: Admin, Fleet Admin or Technician.

In addition, you need to be assigned as the service provider of the assets to resolve the service.

Resolve a service on an asset in Trackunit Manager

  1. From Trackunit Manager, navigate to the Service Management app.

  2. Click on the asset you want to resolve a service for. This will open the Upcoming services panel.

  3. In the Upcoming services panel you can scroll up and down to find the service you want to resolve. Click on Resolve —> Perform.

Note: If the option to “Resolve” is greyed out, you are not the service provider of that asset. Log in with the service provider account, or assign your account as the service provider.

4. Make adjustments to the date and time of the service, and add notes or documentation if needed.

5. Click Perform.

💡 Tip: If you need additional information about the asset, you can click on the asset name in the service window. This will take you to Asset Home which includes all information about the asset.

Resolve a service in the Trackunit Go app:

  1. Log in to the Trackunit Go app on your mobile or tablet

  2. Navigate to Assets in the bottom menu

  3. Select the asset that needs a service resolved

  4. Scroll down to Service Management

  5. Tap the service you would like to resolve

  6. Tap Resolve

  7. Optional: Add notes in the text field, Upload documents and/or Take photo

  8. Tap Performed and confirm with Yes in the pop-up menu

The service will now be logged as performed in the Service History.

If it is a recurring service, then the next service will be shown in the list of services under Service Management in the previous screen.
