Access Management: Setting up Keys

With Access Management you can quickly and easily oversee access on a day-to-day basis to ensure operators are safe and assets are secure. Learn how to set up Keys for Access Management.

Access keys define how and where operators can access your assets. After creating an operator, you can create a key and assign it to that operator to grant access to specific assets, sites, groups, or your entire fleet.

Only operators who need to unlock and operate assets require an access key. If an operator only needs to complete inspections, you do not need to create a key for them.

Before you begin:

  • Create the operator first. See Setting up Operators

  • Ensure your hardware supports the access type you want to use.

    • To use a Digital Key, your asset needs a Bluetooth-enabled TU600 or TU700 and a relay

    • To use the other access types, you require a DualID or a K300 keypad

  • You need to have an Admin or Fleet Admin role to be able to use Access Management in Trackunit Manager. Read more about user roles here
