Before you get started
Before you can unlock assets with the On app, you must first create an account in the On app, and your Trackunit admin must have invited you to your organization as an operator and assigned keys to you.
Identifying the asset
An admin from the organization will have assigned you access to the assets you will operate.
You can find the asset via the Fleet list or by scanning the asset
Fleet List
You can tap on Fleet in the bar at the bottom of the screen, and find the asset from the Fleet list.
Scanner
You can also identify the asset with the Scan functionality.
💡 Tip: Cannot find the asset via scan?
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner and then tap on Change Organization. Make sure you have chosen the organization that owns the asset you are about to unlock.
If you need to change the asset identifier, tap on the identifier icon in the lower-right corner. Here you can select license plate, barcode, QR code, or asset ID.
Unlocking the asset with key codes
Once you have identified the asset in front of you, you can start the unlocking process.
Tap Get PIN code.
Your admin will have assigned you one of four different key codes:
Static or Rolling PIN: Static or Rolling PINs will need to be entered onto the Keypad on the asset
Digital Key: Digital keys will use the Bluetooth function of your smartphone to unlock the device
Key Cards: Key cards must be tapped on the Keypad to unlock the asset
