How do I set up Input Alerts in Trackunit Manager?

Set up Input Alerts to be notified when certain inputs turn on/off for your assets for an up-to-the-minute view of the operating status.

Input Alerts are available on the Expand and Evolve plans. If you do not see the option to create an input alert, reach out to your Trackunit representative.

You'll need to be Admin or Fleet Admin to create alerts. Read more about user roles and permissions, here

Set up Input Alerts in Trackunit Manager

  1. Sign into Trackunit Manager

  2. Go to the Alerts app

  3. Click Create new alert

  4. Select Input Alert and click Next

  5. Select if this should trigger a critical alert or a log

  6. Select which input (Input 1-4) the alert should trigger for

  7. Select if this should trigger when the input is going on or going off and click Next

  8. Select the entire fleet, group(s) or specific assets that you want to monitor and click Next

  9. Optional: Select the people to be notified* when the alert is triggered and click Next

  10. Enter a Name for the alert

  11. Review the alert configuration and click Create alert

*Note: The people you select to be notified when an alert triggers will be notified via email only. Currently it is not possible to notify people when an alert is triggered via SMS.
