How do I get started with Access Control in Manager Classic?

Use Access Control in Manager Classic to determine who can access your assets. Learn how to take control of your fleet.

You must be Account Administrator to make these changes, or your Account Administrator must have granted you access.

Note: Your machine or vehicle must be fitted with either DualID, an RFID card reader, or an iButton reader to be used with access control.


Enable access control

Sign in to Trackunit Manager

  1. Go to Manager Classic

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Go to Fleet

  4. Select the unit you want to manage from the fleet view and click Edit

  5. Select the desired Access Control Mode and Access Control Sensor from the drop-down menu

  6. Press Save to save and exit.



Add your access control key remotely

Sign in to Trackunit Manager

  1. Go to Manager Classic

  2. Go to Access Control

  3. Click Add

  4. Enter the Key details

    • Enter the key Name

    • Enter the PIN-code, RFID card ID, or iButton key in Key ID (1-16 digits)

    • Determine how long the Key is valid for

    • Determine when the Key expires

    • Other details are optional

  5. Determine which units the key can access in Access to the following units

  6. Press Save to save and exit.



Add your access control key on-site

  1. Login to your access control unit with an administrator key

  2. Login to your access control unit with a new access control key within 60 seconds

  3. The new access control key is now active. The new key is named Local key: ID# in Trackunit Manager
