This article refers to Classic Manager, which will soon be deprecated. We recommend beginning your migration to Trackunit Manager as soon as possible.
Access Control has been replaced by Access Management in Trackunit Manager. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or Key Account Manager to check whether you meet the requirements for enablement.
Note: You must be Account Administrator to make these changes, or your Account Administrator must have granted you access.
Your machine or vehicle must be fitted with either DualID, an RFID card reader, or an iButton reader to be used with access control.
Add an access control key
Sign in to Trackunit Manager
Go to Manager Classic
Go to Access Control
Click Add
Enter the Key details
Enter the key Name
Enter the PIN-code, RFID card ID, or iButton key in Key ID (1-16 digits)
Determine how long the Key is valid for
Determine when the Key expires
Other details are optional
Determine which units the key can access in Access to the following units
Press Save to save and exit.
Edit an access control key
Sign in to Trackunit Manager
Go to Manager Classic
Go to Access Control
Select the key you want to edit and click Edit
Press Save to save and exit
Delete an access control key
Sign in to Trackunit Manager
Go to Manager Classic
Go to Access Control
Select the key you want to delete
Click Delete
