Verify is the primary tool for installing and troubleshooting your Trackunit Raw devices. You can access it here: verify.trackunit.com.
What is Verify?
Verify is essential for:
Confirming the proper installation of your Raw devices by checking the connections through data points
Troubleshooting Raw devices that aren’t displaying data.
It combines configuration, diagnostics, and basic maintenance actions into one central tool, streamlining your Raw device management.
This article will take you through the main use cases and refer you to other helpful articles in our Help Center.
What actions can I take in Verify?
In Verify, you can:
Configure inputs and input filtering
Change input names
Edit asset metadata (brand, model, category, production date, VIN)
Configure CAN profiles
Replace a device
Configure output mode
Configure hour/km offset
Assign assets to group and categories
Reboot a device
Changing the operating mode

Configuring inputs and metadata
To make changes to the device data in Verify, you will need the following user role and permissions assigned to you in Trackunit Manager:
Access to the Entire fleet
Classic rights enabled:
Updating rights under the module "Settings"
Updating rights under the module "Service"
If you are unable to perform these actions due to user role limitations, reach out to your account admin to update your permissions

Learn how to edit mileage and hours in this articleYou can edit parts of the metadata of your device. Scroll down to Machine Adjust machine metadata under Machine Metadata, then click Save
💡 Tip: You can also adjust the metadata in Trackunit Manager or the Trackunit Go app, under Specification.

Replacing a device
If you are replacing a device for the first time, we recommend involving our Customer Support team to ensure correct execution. You can contact them via our Messenger.
Rebooting a device
Reboot the device by clicking Reboot in Verify. This will send a command to the device and force a reboot.
Note: Rebooting should be done with care, ideally with guidance from our Customer Support. It can resolve issues like the device not sending data but is not the same as resetting the device.
Resetting the data of your device
You might have situations where you need to reset the data of your device.
Changing your Operating Modes
You can change the Operating Mode of a device directly from Verify.
Enter the Serial Number of your device and click Find.
Scroll to the section titled Operating Mode and change the mode here.
Select Save and the change is queued to be applied to your device.
In order to confirm that the Operating Mode has been changed, you have to use the Administration page in Trackunit Manager. Read this article on changing Operating Modes
