How do I update my device firmware?

It is important that you keep the firmware of your devices up to date whenever possible. That will ensure that you can get the most of Trackunit Manager's features and to optimize device performance.

How do I see what firmware my device is on?

Log into Trackunit Manager

  1. Go to the Assets/My Fleet app and click on the asset with the device that you want to check

  2. In Asset home, click on the Telematics tab in the left side

  3. Under the Device section, you can see what firmware version you are on

  4. Under the Device section, you can also see if the current firmware is the latest version

Update the device firmware

If you can see that your device firmware is not on the latest version, you can update it directly in Trackunit Manager.

Log into Trackunit Manager

  1. Go to the Assets/My Fleet app and click on the asset with the device that you want to check

  2. In Asset home, click on the Telematics tab in the left side

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Firmware update

  4. Give the device a couple of minutes to update (you might have to refresh the page to see if the update went through)

Can I bulk update device firmware?

Currently, it is not possible to bulk update device firmware.
