Access Management ensures that only authorized individuals can operate specific assets, enhancing security and preventing unauthorized usage.
The Trackunit On app plays a key role in enabling Access Management by allowing operators to easily authenticate themselves and gain access to assigned assets directly from their smartphones.
Getting started in the On app
Start by downloading the On app and creating an account
Open the app and tap Create an account.
Enter your full name (your name will be visible to your organization).
Enter your email address (optional).
Enter your phone number.
Await a code via SMS.
Confirm your phone number with the SMS code.
Create a password for your account.
Enable Bluetooth and Location.
Note: Providing an email is optional, however, a phone number is
mandatory as it will be used to create invitations from your organization.
Joining your Organization
If you have already been added as an operator by your organization, the invitation to join your organization will pop up automatically when you create your account.
Alternatively, you can find the invitation in the app menu:
Tap on Menu in the bottom right corner.
Tap on Organizations.
Tap on View next to the organization.
Tap Join now.
Note:
If you don’t see an automatic pop-up to join your organization when logging in and there are no invitations under the "Organization" tab, it means you haven’t been added to any organization yet.
In this case, you’ll need to:
Contact your Trackunit Manager account admin to have them assign assets to you as an operator.
Alternatively, reach out to your immediate Manager. If they are designated as a Key Admin, they can also assign assets to you in Trackunit Manager.
Unlocking Assets with Key Codes
An admin from the organization will have assigned you access to the assets you will operate.
Tap on Fleet in the lower left corner.
Click on the asset that you want to access.
Tap Get PIN code.
Your admin will have assigned you one of four different Key Code:
Static or Rolling Pin: Static or Rolling Pins will need to be entered onto the Keypad on the asset
Digital Key: Digital keys will use the Bluetooth function of your smartphone to unlock the device
Key Cards: Key cards must be tapped on the Keypad to unlock the asset
4. Tap Get directions to locate your assigned asset using Apple or Google Maps.
