Completing a DEFIT work order in the Fit app

A DEFIT work order is a service to remove a previous installation of a telematics device on a machine. The goal of this work order will be to document the removal & testing of operability of the machine post telematics device removal.

Find the DEFIT work order

Open the Fit app and log in with your Trackunit credentials.

If you haven't already, you need to select the customer for which you are doing the work order.

Note: If a work order does not exist for a particular machine, please reach out to the Fleet Manager or installations@trackunit.com for approval to add any new machines to the customer’s fleet for service.

  1. Use the Find Work or Quick Scan functions on the application to find and select a Work Order.

  2. Click on the DEFIT work order you want to work on to get started.

  3. Confirm the Equipment Number and Telematics Device Serial Number of the DEFIT you are completing.

  4. Click Start Service.

  5. Find and remove the telematics device from the machine.

  6. Click Confirm removal to confirm you have successfully removed the device.

  7. Confirm all the Equipment Information associated with the DEFIT

  8. Click Complete Setup

  9. Click on Service Photos to capture photos of the DEFIT and device removal.

  10. Click Complete Service.
