Simplify Operator Safety: Validate Training with IPAF Link

Easily ensure that only certified operators access your machines using IPAF PAL Cards.

In this article, you'll learn how to install and use the IPAF Link app from the Trackunit Marketplace to connect operator certifications directly in Trackunit Manager.
You'll be guided through verifying IPAF licenses, creating digital keys, and managing machine access with just a few clicks.

IPAF Link helps ensure that only certified operators can use mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), improving jobsite safety and making access management more efficient with IPAF PAL card integration.

Note: IPAF Link requires prior migration to Access Management in Trackunit Manager. For support, please contact your Trackunit representative.

Installing IPAF Link

  1. Log in to Trackunit Manager

  2. Once installed, the app will appear in your App Library under the Administration page

Adding a certified operator

  1. After installation, click Access Management in the left-side menu

  2. Click Create new operator

  3. Fill out the details:

    1. License provider: Select IPAF License

    2. License number of the operator

    3. Date of birth of the operator

    4. Email address of the operator

  4. Click Create new operator

Creating a digital key for the operator

  1. Go to the Key tab in the operator’s profile

  2. Click Create new key

  3. Choose Personal key, then click Next

  4. Select the assets the operator should have access to, click Next

  5. Select access type: Choose IPAF card - Use IPAF card integration, then click Next

  6. Review the setup and click Create key

The operator now has a verified IPAF certification and machine access via their IPAF PAL card.
